Pay by invoice, credit card, or bank account for Office 365 for business

You can pay by credit card or bank account or invoice for your Office 365 subscription. When you set up your subscription, it is automatically set to auto-renewal, which you can turn on or off.

How paying by credit card or bank account works

When you pay with a credit card or bank account, you will be automatically charged for your Office 365 subscription until the end of your membership period. You can update whenever you need your credit card or bank account information.

How paying by invoice works

If your Office 365 membership is more than a certain amount (this amount is different from the service location), then you will have the option to pay by invoice using wire transfer or check. Large invoice payments may require a credit check

If you are invoicing for membership payment, you will receive an email which says that your invoice is ready to be seen. If you enter a purchase order number (PO) when you buy a subscription, the number is on your invoice For information about how to access the invoice, see your bill or invoice for Office 365 for business.

If a credit check is required as part of the payment process, you will be notified when purchasing your membership. And, if you agree to contact, you will receive an email which includes more information about applying for credit approval. Credit checks are usually completed within two business days.

Need to switch payment methods?

If your original reasons for choosing your invoices, credit card or bank accounts have changed, for example, if you adjust your membership, the payment amount decreases so that you are not eligible for invoice payments Can change payment method. Turn auto-renew on or off

By default, subscriptions renew automatically each year on the day that you subscribed.

  1. Sign in to Office 365 with your work or school account as a global admin. Learn how to sign in.
  2. Select the app launcher icon Office 365 app launcher icon in the upper-left and choose Admin.
  3. In the admin center, choose Billing > Subscriptions.
  4. Select a subscription, and then switch the toggle to On or Off.

NOTE: Turning off auto-renew will not cancel your subscription. To cancel, see Cancel my subscription.

  1. Sign in to Office 365 with your work or school account as a global admin. Learn how to sign in.
  2. Select the app launcher icon Office 365 app launcher icon in the upper-left and choose Admin.
  3. In the Office 365 admin centre, choose Billing > Bills.
  4. Choose the month and date of the invoice you want, and then choose View.View your bill or invoice for Office 365 for business
  5. Choose an order, and then choose View Details.
  6. On the Bill Details page, you can see the following:
    • The total balance, the current amount due, the payment due date, the amount of the last payment, and the date it was received.
    • Payment instructions.
    • A record of past payment dates, and the amounts paid.
    • The order creation date, and the order number.To view the invoice for a specific month, choose a month and a year, then choose Show.View your bill or invoice for Office 365 for business
  7. To print or save a PDF copy of the invoice, choose View invoice (, pdf).
